PT ANJ Agri (ANJ Agri Binanga)

ANJ Agri Binanga is the first plantation company to be acquired by ANJ Group and is located in two Kecamatan and in two Kabupaten which are Kecamatan Simangambat, Kabupaten Padang Lawas Utara (PALUTA) and Kecamatan Huristak in the Kabupaten Padang Lawas (PALAS). The plantation is around 480 km southwest of Medan, North Sumatra. The total landbank is 9,935 ha with a total planted area of 9,813 ha; all of the crops have matured. The estates were first planted in 1987 and the last planting was done in 1999. In the plantation, there is a CPO mill which has a capacity of 60 tons FFB/hour.

The plantation is divided into three main estates: East (4 afdeling-divisions), Central (5 afdeling-divisions) and West (4 afdeling-divisions). At the end of December 31, 2010 ANJ Agri Binanga has 1,300 personnel; of which the majority is from the local South Tapanuli communities.

PT Sahabat Mewah dan Makmur (ANJ Agri Belitung)

The second plantation acquired by the Company is ANJ Agri Belitung which is located at Desa Jangkang, Kecamatan Dendang, Kabupaten Belitung Timur. This plantation is located around 45 km from Tanjungpandan connected with a very good road. The total landbank is 16,307 ha with a total planted area of 14,229 ha; all of the crops have matured. In the plantation, there is a CPO mill which has a capacity of 60 tons FFB/hour.

The plantation is divided into 5 estates: Kebun Jangkang (4 divisions), Kebun Balok (4 divisions), Kebun Ladang Jaya (4 divisions) and Kebun Air Ruak (4 divisions). At the end of December 31, 2010, ANJ Agri Belitung has 1650 personnel of which the majority is from Belitung island itself.

PT ANJ Agri Siais

The third plantation to be acquired is PT ANJ Agri Siais which at that time had been named PT Ondop Perkasa Makmur. The plantation is located at Kecamatan Angkola Selatan, Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan. The total landbank is 9,639 ha with a total planted area of 7,912 ha; all of the crops have matured. The plantation is the first that was built from greenfields and all land clearing and infrastructures and buildings/installations entirely built by ANJ Agri. In the plantation, there is a fully automated modern CPO mill which was commissioned in April 2010 and has a capacity of 60 tons FFB/hour.

The plantation is divided into 3 main estates: Estate Lembah Subur Utara (North) or LSU, Estate Lembah Subur Tengah (Center) or LST and Estate Lembah Subur Selatan (South) or LSS. LSU has been fully planted while LSS is on the verge of completing the planting process. Currently, there are 460 personnel in the plantation of which the majority is from South Tapanuli.

In following the rules and regulations in plantations area, the Company has maintained the riparian reserves along river courses populated by native species as an area of conservation. In addition 50 ha of prime land in the middle of the plantation has been deemed as conservation areas for future generations to enjoy. The Company is also preparing a permit to extend 1,639 ha of land, the largest proportion of which will be made as conservation areas.

PT Kayung Agro Lestari (ANJ Agri Ketapang)

After acquiring 2 plantations in South Tapanuli and 1 plantation in Belitung island, the Company acquired PT Kayung Agro Lestari (PT KAL) in 2005. The plantation is located around 45 km from Ketapang, West Kalimantan. In beginning 2010, the Company had obtained a release of Hak Pelepasan Kawasan Hutan Konversi (HPK) from the Ministry of Forestry as the areas were classified as Hutan Produksi Konversi. The Company is now in the process to improve the permit to a Hak Guna Usaha (HGU) status at the Badan Pertanahan Nasional (BPN). The total landbank is 17,998 ha, and as of December 2012 around 8,898 ha of the landbank has been planted.

PT ANJ Agri Papua

West Papua is the location of the new endeavor which will take ANJ Agri into a new venture which is the production of sago products. At this moment, the Company has obtained a permit to utilize non-wood forest production (IUPHHBK) for 40,000 ha from the Sorong Selatan Regency. ANJ Agri Papua has now completed the AMDAL process. Starting 2011, the Company began construction of its first sago factory.


PT Austindo Aufwind New Energy

AANE was formed in 2008 as an Indonesian-German joint venture between ANJ Agri Group and Aufwind Schmack Group.

Initially, AANE is focused on utilizing renewable energy potential at existing assets within ANJ Agri Group. Starting 2011, AANE began construction of a biogas plant at ANJ Agri's Belitung palm oil mill. This project will produce biogas from processing by-products and generate Certified Emission Reductions (CER) Certificates under the Kyoto Protocol as well as being able to generate electricity. Similar projects at the other ANJ Agri facilities are under evaluation.

ANJ Agri Group controls the majority share capital in this strategic venture.

AANE has completed the initial technical feasibility, validation process and lodged the registration with United Nations Framework Convention for Climate Change (UNFCCC).
